One tree is 7th from either side means six trees are on the both side of 7th tree therefore, no. of tree = 6+6+1 = 13 (one is added which is the 7th tree)

Above two equation follows the same pattern. Hence the last one also follow the pattern. Multiplication of factors is equal to the digit formed by the factors form the left side to the right.
Therefore, 7*5*8*5 = 5857


13. A travelled Westward 8 km, turned left and travelled 3 km, turned right and travelled 9 km. He then travelled North 3 km. How far is he from starting point?

B. 17km

Ans: (B) 17 km


According to questions, A is a starting point and end at E.

AB = 8km, BC=DE = 3 km, DC = BE = 9 km.
Therfore, AE = AB + BE = 8 + 9 = 17 km


14. Three positions of a dice are given below. Identify the number on the face opposite to 6.

Ans: (B) 4

From the 2nd and 3rd postion of a dice, 3 and 5 are two common numbers. Hence, 6 and 4 are opposite to each other.

Similarly, form the 1st and 2nd position of a dice, 3 and 6 are two common numbers. Hence, 2 and 5 are opposite to each other.

Remaining number 1 and 3 in a dice should be opposite to each other.

Ans: (C) 3:2

More demand companies = A,C,F No. of More demand companies = 3 
More production companies = B, D no. of more production companies = 2

therefore, the required ratio = 3/2 = 3:2


iii) What is the difference ( in tonnes) between average demand and average production of the five companies taken together?

A. 320
B. 420
C. 2100
D. 1050

Ans: (B) 420

Average demand of five companies = (3000+600+2400+1200+3300)/5 = 2100 tonnes
Average production of five companies = (1500+1800+900+2700+1500)/5 = 16800 tonnes
required difference = 2100 - 1680 = 420 tonnes
